When this tool helps
Some courts, tenders, universities and archives ask for PDF/A, a PDF variant meant to look the same for decades. This tool makes such a copy from an ordinary PDF without any software to install.
Tips for a better result
- Standard quality is enough for text pages; choose High for drawings and small print.
- Keep the original PDF: in the copy the text is a picture and cannot be selected or searched.
- If the portal rejects the file, check it with a validator such as veraPDF, because requirements differ.
What to expect
Every page is turned into a picture inside a new PDF marked as PDF/A-1b, with a built-in sRGB colour profile and no fonts, scripts or attachments. Text stays visible but is no longer selectable or searchable. This suits portals that check the PDF/A label; for a strictly validated file, check the result with a validator.
What happens to your file
The file is read and converted by code in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so contracts, statements and private papers stay on your device.
