Repair PDF
Rebuild a clean copy of a PDF that fails to open, stops half way or shows errors. Whatever pages can be read are saved.
Your files are never uploaded to a server. Everything runs on your device.
How to use
- Add the damaged PDF.
- Press Repair PDF.
- Download the rebuilt file and check the pages.
When this tool helps
Interrupted downloads, files from old programs and damaged email attachments often refuse to open. The tool reads whatever part is intact, drops broken objects and writes a new, tidy file.
Tips for a better result
- If the first pass skips pages, try downloading the original again.
- When the file is too damaged, pages are rescued as pictures. They look right but the text cannot be selected, so run OCR: text from PDF and photo to get text back.
- Keep the original file until you have checked the repaired one.
Common problems and how to fix them
Some pages are missing
Those pages were damaged beyond reading. The result tells you how many were skipped.
The tool says nothing can be recovered
The file may be empty or not a PDF at all. Check its size and extension, or ask the sender for a new copy.
What happens to your file
Everything is done in your browser and the PDF never leaves your device.
FAQ
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is processed in your browser on your own device, so your files never reach our servers.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up and no watermarks.
Can every damaged PDF be repaired?
No. If the content itself is gone, no tool can bring it back. Many files with a damaged structure can be saved.
